The drive to work with the warm rays lift me up and as I approach to the space I feel all of the what if’s creep up
Mental lists
Adequate staffing proper training personal distractions creating moments of error
The pressure of the customer becomes my reason of being I pretend to imagine they want better and deserve better always
The non stop demands placed higher and higher
The fatigue of the beach goer with children weighing their impatience on each command
The tiniest moments to make the largest impact
Something spills
Something drops
The order is wrong
The tensions build
There is no room for breathing
Feels like we are barely catching up
For every two down there is four to go
We just want to catch up successfully to celebrate how far we have come
The mid afternoon is foggy and the clock like a fatal attraction is pretending I don’t look at it every chance I get and then.... in clarity I realize
We can do it and we do do it
We lean in every second we allow to breathe inside the madness of hustle and laugh at the impossible cheering each other on and making jokes with the customers cause this is the best we can do and if we are not enjoying this why would you
Time seems to slow down or evaporate
Our groove is our saving grace
Our compassion is our compass
We remember
And I remove myself from being them to being us every chance I get
